Bad Debt Protection Administrator
Salary: £26-27K
Manchester | Hybrid working

Some jobs keep the wheels turning but this one helps protect the entire business.

Behind every successful company is a team making sure customers are supported, accounts are managed properly and risk is kept firmly under control.

That’s where you come in.

Accuracy matters, relationships matter and the work you do has a genuine impact on the financial health of the business.

If you’re organised, detail-focused and enjoy solving problems while helping people, this could be exactly what you’re looking for.

The role

This isn’t just paperwork.

The information you manage, the accuracy you bring and the conversations you have all help protect revenue, reduce risk and support better decision-making across the business.

Your work will be noticed because it directly contributes to business performance.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll play an important part in managing bad debt protection processes, supporting customers and ensuring accounts are handled efficiently and professionally.

That means balancing administration, communication and investigation work to help minimise financial risk while delivering a great service experience.

No two days will be exactly the same.

You could be:

  • Managing and maintaining bad debt protection records and documentation
  • Liaising with customers, internal departments and external partners
  • Investigating account queries and resolving issues efficiently
  • Monitoring outstanding balances and supporting recovery processes
  • Processing claims, updates and account changes accurately
  • Producing reports and maintaining system data
  • Ensuring processes are compliant and completed to agreed standards
  • Identifying improvements that make systems and ways of working even better

What you’ll bring

You don’t need to know everything on day one. What matters most is your attitude, attention to detail and willingness to learn.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confidence using systems, spreadsheets and databases
  • Strong communication skills
  • A professional and customer-focused approach
  • The ability to prioritise and manage workloads
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
  • Experience in finance, credit control, administration or customer service (helpful, but not essential)

The good stuff

  • A stable, professional business with a supportive culture
  • Opportunity to build valuable skills in finance, administration and customer support
  • Variety in your workload with real responsibility
  • Training and development opportunities
  • A team that works together and supports each other
  • Private healthcare for you and your family
  • Company pension scheme
  • Flexible benefits (gym membership, tech, health assessments and more)
  • Access to an online wellbeing centre
  • Discounts with a wide range of retailers
  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service, with buy/sell options
  • Electric Vehicle / Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle scheme
