Data Analyst

Data Analyst
Up to £60,000
Flexible Location | Hybrid working with frequent travel to Banbury required

Have you ever looked at a messy dataset and thought there’s something in here?

Not just numbers, rows and columns but patterns and opportunities.

Answers that could actually change how a business works… that’s exactly what this role is about.

The role

This isn’t a “run a few reports and call it a day” kind of Data Analyst job.

You’ll be right at the heart of a growing data function, helping shape how the business uses data, not just reporting on what’s already happened, but influencing what happens next.

You’ll take raw, sometimes complex data and manipulate/challenge it, to turn it into something people can actually understand and act on.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll sit between the technical and the business world.

One minute, you’re deep in SQL or Python, pulling together datasets and building models.
The next, you’re in conversation with stakeholders, translating their challenges into something analytical and then back again into clear, useful insight.

You’ll be:

  • Building dashboards and reports that people genuinely rely on (Power BI / Tableau)
  • Turning data into meaningful, actionable insight across areas like operations, risk and performance
  • Working closely with stakeholders to understand what they really need (not just what they ask for)
  • Shaping data models and ensuring everything is accurate, scalable and future-proof
  • Collaborating with data engineering to make sure the foundations are solid
  • Acting as a trusted voice when it comes to data and decision-making

What you’ll bring

You’ll already have experience with things like:

  • SQL for data extraction and manipulation
  • Power BI (or similar) for visualisation
  • Python for analysis and automation
  • A solid understanding of data modelling and how data supports business logic
  • Confidence working directly with stakeholders, you can explain the “why”, not just the “what”
  • The ability to balance technical depth with commercial thinking
  • A collaborative mindset, you enjoy working with the business, not in a silo

And if you’ve touched Databricks, great, but it’s not essential… More importantly, you know how to use these tools to solve real business problems.

The good stuff

Let’s be honest, most Data Analyst roles promise “development” and mean a few online courses.

This one’s different as you’ll get real, hands-on support to sharpen your skills in SQL, Python & Power BI, plus:

  • Private healthcare for you and your family
  • Company pension scheme
  • Flexible benefits (gym membership, tech, health assessments and more)
  • Access to an online wellbeing centre
  • Discounts with a wide range of retailers
  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service, with buy/sell options
  • Electric Vehicle / Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle scheme
